Dr. Charles F. Siebert, Jr. is a board certified Forensic Pathologist who has worked for over 20 years as a medical examiner throughout Florida, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He is certified by the American Board of Pathology in anatomic and Forensic Pathology. He received his MD degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Newark campus, and completed his Anatomic Pathology residency at the combined University Hospital/ St. Barnabas program. His Forensic Pathology training took place at the Dade County Medical Examiner’s Office in Florida under Dr. Joseph H. Davis, a pioneer in the field.
As a forensic pathologist, he is specifically trained in the determination of cause and manner of death due to both natural and unnatural means. He is an expert in injury evaluation including but not limited to causation, mechanism and age of the injury. His expertise in injury evaluation has also expanded to evaluation of living individuals, in particular allegation of abuse cases.
He has performed over 4,500 autopsies and examinations and has testified as an expert in Forensic Pathology over 100 times in criminal proceedings at the State and Federal levels as well as numerous civil and criminal depositions and Grand Jury testimony.
Dr. Siebert is a member of the National Association of Medical Examiners, the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, DMORT Region IV, the International Homicide Investigators Association, and is on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Homicide Investigators Association.
